CHANGED EVENT VENUE - Orienteering Sunday 6 August

This event has been transferred to Donovan Park on the same day. Called LegO, it is a new twist on normal orienteering. Check out www.sporty.co.nz/SOC for more details of this family orientated event

APPLE PRUNING WORKSHOPS Sunday 2 July

Held at the Southland Community Nursery, Grant Road, the Guytons will teach you about heritage species, rootstock, taking scions and care of apple trees with hands-on pruning in the Rances’ orchard. Sessions in the morning and afternoon - for more details and bookings (essential) $5 per person - contact rances@southlandcommunitynursery.org.nz

A WALK THROUGH BUSHY POINT Sunday 25 June

The idea is for as many of the Committee, and any people interested, to spend a little time walking through Bushy Point and talk about what’s been done, what’s going to be done, ideas, problems etc. Just turn up at 1pm at the Bryson Road entrance and join in for as long as you can.

MATARIKI NIGHT CELEBRATIONS - Saturday 17 June

These will be held at the Southland Community Nursery Education Centre and hopefully outside! This is a combined Family and KCC night of fun so come along with some food and drinks to share and enjoy swede carving, candle making and other activities to farewell the old season and welcome in the new. The Matariki Night celebrations will start at 5pm for Kiwi Conservation Club (KCC) families, followed by more celebrations from 7pm-9pm for the more mature! Please park at the 183 Grant road carpark and follow the silver fern leaves to the education centre - bring a torch (and some food)!
