If we are self-isolating in Otatara we should all know how lucky we are – most of us have gardens and there are plenty of places to walk – even the streets now without the endless cars on them! The Otatara Landcare Group has lots of information about Otatara and its natural attractions – check out the website and the link https://www.otataralandcare.org.nz/publications/
Here are a few examples
The Souhtland Community Nursery (Otatara) website has lots of family activities you can do in your garden or out on a walk - print them off or put them on your phone - https://www.southlandcommunitynursery.org.nz/news-and-events/ and have some fun with them.

A group of enthusiastic weedies tackled the Chilean Flame Creeper in Bowman Bush to great effect on Monday 27 January 2020. The invasive climber was pulled off trees, shrubs and ferns and prevented from smothering plants and from flowering and seeding. The annual outing has been running for over 10 years and the difference is amazing to see. Thanks to all involved and to Randall Milne (OLG) and Jesse Bythell (QEII Trust) for organising the evening and to Jesse for providing cake!!
