The latest Pigeon Post had an article about fungi found in Otatara. As its a great time to spot fungi we have extended the competition until Monday 2 May 22 so you can go out and spot some over the Easter holidays. See how many you can name - common names are fine - or even made up names are fun and we will judge the most correct and best names and give out prizes for the best three answers. So - get your fungi eyes out in Otarara and see what you can find. Send answers by email to Enable JavaScript to view protected content. by 2nd May 22. If you spot any interesting fungi take a photo and send it as well and we will try and identify it.

Bowman Bush Chilean flame creeper evening 2022

Help us to control this troublesome weed in Otatara’s Bowman Bush Reserve

Date: Thursday 27 January 2022

Time: 7pm-9pm – meet at Spence Avenue entrance or hunt for us around the track

Bring gloves if you need them. We will be just hand pulling the plant - no tools required

If we are down to Covid Level 2 some planting can occur but we will need people to register with Barry Smith before coming to site.

We have changed the date to Saturday 11 September 2021, numbers will be strictly limited and will have two sessions for which people can book a place.
